I am best described as self-educated and self-trained, made necessary by a determination to thrive in the face of profound deafness. I’m licensed in every major trade but plumbing and versed in a number of smaller ones. I entered the home inspection profession when a cochlear implant restored enough of my hearing to talk to folks and because I had an ideal foundation for work as an inspector. After 15 years of home inspections, I’m still learning on my own as I still don’t understand anything in classroom environments. The learning never stops.
